Congratulations!
Nobody has to repeat the test!
All students have got enough marks to pass (even if you have failed this last test).
There are just 2 inconveniences. I can't see Pere's and Elena's works (I can't open the files or hear the sound). As you gave them to me in time, you get 50% of the total marks, but you can't get higher marks if you don't give them to me again and I can seen and hear what you have done. You can give me the work again tomorrow, through Quico Galiana.
I will be able to go and show you the exams next Tuesday.
Well done, girls and boys!

Second Term Work
The work for this term consists in two tasks:
Task 1:
This can be individual or group work. You will have to tell a short tale or perform a small play for toddlers. You can look for one on the net or invent it yourself/ves and write it down. Have it recorded and email it to me.
Take into account the age of the children to which it is directed and so choose the subject, vocabulary and methodology carefully. Bear always in mind the main purpose of the activity from our point of view: teaching English. Don't forget other purposes, like having fun and typical age aims. Specify all this in your message, add links to pages consulted, include the tale or play and, if it is done in group, say which role each of you has.
During the filming, i.e., while you are telling the tale or performing the play, do it as if you were in front of the children of the age you have chosen. To help you practise the pronunciation of your part both individually and in group, you can use this webpage:
Try this to rehearse your part Write down your part in the box "Enter text" (below the avatar) and then click on the button "SAY IT" (on the right at the bottom)
Last day to email your work: 10th January.
Work qualifications: 1 mark
-Pronunciation: 0.5 points
-Language usage: 0.25 points (correctness of structures, vocabulary and expressions)
-Adequacy and usefulness: 0.25 points (Appropriate for the target age and its purpose)
Task 2:
This task is individual. It must be about a celebration or festivity. Think of several activities to do with two-year-olds during a session in the classroom. Take into account they have to be adequate to the children's age and our purpose: teach English to small children.
Each activity has to include at least these parts:
NAME AGE TIME AIMS DESCRIPTION MATERIALS PREPARATION PROCEDURE LANGUAGE USAGE COMMENTS
EXAMPLE:
NAME ..... Guess the present
AGE ....... 2-3 year-olds
TIME ...... 15 minutes
AIMS ...... Language: revise shapes, colours and names of objects (possible presents) and learn new vocabulary.
............. Other: to guess something by its shape.
DESCRIPTION ..... A guessing game.
PREPARATION .... Make the "presents". Draw or find pictures of objects that are reasonably easy to guess by their outline. Cut them out and stick them to cardboard. On the other side stick some pretty paper.
PROCEDURE ...... 1. Tell the children that you have some presents and they must guess what they are.
.................. 2. Hold up a "present" with the pretty paper facing the children and ask them to try and guess what it is.
.............. 3. The child who guesses correctly holds the picture.
.............. 4. The child with most "presents" is the winner.
LANGUAGE USAGE
Target vocabulary...
..... Shapes, forms and colours: round, square, triangular, long, short, big, small, thin, thick, red, brown, purple, golden ...
..... "Presents": doll, car, teddy bear, ball, book, ring, house...
Target expressions ...... What is it?, It's a ...., Yes, correct./Well done/ You are right... / No, it isn't. Look at this. It's (round). / It's got (ears, wheels, ...), etc.
COMMENTS ........ Some children will shout out the answers. Give quieter children a chance to win a "present" too.
You can find lots of information on Internet and in the school library. I have included an example.
